Meet our artisan Elena!

Elena began working at Women of Hope in the middle of 2022. She says that the ministry is a blessing in managing life with chronic illness, especially since she receives pay for her work on a weekly basis. In the past, Elena would run out of money and medicine but now with a good and consistent income, she does not have that problem. She also benefits from being able to work from home as she must balance work and rest due to her illness.

As a bead artisan, Elena specializes in making the beaded bracelets used as the center section of Christmas balls, however she enjoys continuing to learn new patterns & techniques.

Elena prays to one day be healed from her infirmities and trusts that God will give her relief. Regardless of whether her health improves, she plans to continue working with WoH. She says she finds the work to be both a blessing and very fulfilling.
