Meet our artisan Elena!

Elena is a very talented artisan. Joining our team in March of 2022;  with over 12 years of experience in beading. Another artisan told Elena about WoH and she came mostly out of curiosity, “I’m so grateful that I did!” 

Elena only completed her education through 2nd grade and mostly only spoke the local dialect, Tz’utujil. Since coming to WoH she has begun learning and speaking so much more Spanish. 

Elena treasures her relationships with the other artisans and says WoH has also helped her gain confidence. She enjoys making a variety of items, but especially our Flamingo & Golfing Santa.
