Giovanni & Tina Osuna

Founder and director of Women of Hope Guatemala, Tina Osuna has served the Lord as a missionary in Guatemala since 2007. Before her arrival in the country, Tina helped develop a ministry, Hope for Guatemala in Guatemala City. She also founded Hope for Atlanta in 2002, which brings educational and spiritual programs to a segment of Atlanta's Hispanic community.

While Tina found unique and powerful inspiration in each of these outreach programs, it was during her service at a Christian home for battered women in Guatemala City that she discovered her new definition for her calling in Guatemala. After witnessing the plight of many Guatemalan women, who suffer from poverty, lack of education and a culture that permits oppression and abuse, she knew that something needed to change.

God used this cycle of despair to plant a vision in Tina to begin a Business for Transformation ministry for women of Guatemala, a place where local women could learn of the hope of Christ while building a better future for themselves and their children. Women of Hope Guatemala was born in February 2012 and continues to grow each year.

In 2011, Tina married Guatemalan husband, Giovanni Osuna. and they moved to a small indigenous mountain village in the Lake Atitlan region, San Lucas Toliman.

The Lord open doors to start this discipleship ministry with just 2 artisans in early 2012.  The ministry has grown over the years, helping more than 50 artisans and their families throughout the years.  Currently there are 28 regular & seasonal artisans working with the ministry.

Tina's heart is about seeing the artisans grow spiritually as they experience the love of their creator and challenging them to seek Him everyday in every aspect of their lives.  At the same time, she loves being part of providing the opportunity for the artisans to provide for their families through dignified work. Encouraging them to use and develop their God given talents, is an added bonus!
